A bundle can increase the order value while cutting the contribution from its contents. The Bundle Calculator records each item’s quantity, reference selling price and cost, then compares the discounted set price with packaging, delivery and entered fees.
Describe the contents before entering a discount
Add one main item with reference price PKR 1,000 and cost PKR 600. Add one extra item with reference price PKR 500 and cost PKR 250. The reference selling total is PKR 1,500, while product cost is PKR 850.
Enter bundle packaging PKR 50 and shipping cost PKR 100. Total included cost becomes PKR 1,000. With a 10% bundle discount and no percentage fee, the selling price is PKR 1,350 and the included profit is PKR 350.
The maximum discount depends on the fee as well
With no fee, the zero profit bundle price is PKR 1,000. Relative to the PKR 1,500 reference total, the zero profit discount boundary is about 33.33%. This boundary preserves no profit for costs missing from the model.
Now use a 25% discount and an illustrative 10% selling fee. Price falls to PKR 1,125, fee becomes PKR 112.50 and only PKR 12.50 remains. The zero profit discount boundary with that fee is about 25.93%.
Use reference prices that describe a real comparison
The reference total is the basis for the advertised bundle saving. It should reflect the individual prices you intend to compare, rather than invented amounts chosen to make the discount look larger. The calculator verifies arithmetic, not whether a promotional comparison is appropriate.
Quantities matter as much as prices. If a bundle contains two of an item, enter two in that row. Do not lower its unit cost to imitate the quantity, because that breaks the item level cost record.
A negative discount allowance signals an existing problem
When the undiscounted reference total already fails to cover costs after fees, the calculated discount boundary can be negative. The offer needs more revenue or lower costs before any positive discount is possible under the inputs.
Use BOGO & Multi Buy Profit Calculator when the promotion is expressed as paid and free units instead of a percentage bundle discount. For a coupon applied to one offer while retaining a chosen profit, Maximum Coupon Calculator answers a different question. Keep packaging and delivery scope consistent when comparing these promotions.
