A biryani order combines several purchase quantities. The rice amount alone cannot tell you how much protein, onion or yogurt to buy. The Whatson Biryani Batch Planner builds a short ingredient plan from your own per person entries.
It covers selected ingredients and an extra quantity allowance. It is not a complete biryani recipe or a cooking timetable.
Enter the portion assumptions before increasing the guest count
The available rows are dry rice, raw protein purchase mass, potatoes, onions, yogurt and oil. The first five are grams per person; oil is millilitres per person.
Raw protein purchase mass needs a consistent meaning in your notes. A bone in purchase and an edible meat portion are not the same measurement. The tool does not convert one to the other.
Ten people with a 5% ingredient allowance
For the checked illustration, enter 100 g rice, 150 g protein, 75 g potato, 40 g onion, 30 g yogurt and 15 ml oil per person. Use ten people and a 5% extra allowance.
| Purchase item | Batch quantity with allowance |
|---|---|
| Dry rice | 1,050 g |
| Raw protein | 1,575 g |
| Potatoes | 787.5 g |
| Onions | 420 g |
| Yogurt | 315 g |
| Oil | 157.5 ml |
The allowance multiplier is 1.05. It increases each listed ingredient by 5%; it does not create an extra whole guest or round the order to supplier packs.
Missing ingredients are still missing
Spices, salt, tomato and any other ingredients in your recipe do not appear automatically because the tool is named biryani. Keep their quantities on a separate complete recipe list.
Spice Mix Scaler can scale an entered spice ratio. It does not decide a biryani masala recipe. Recipe Scaler can multiply a more detailed ingredient list from its original yield.
Turn the ingredient plan into purchases deliberately
For pack sizes, stock on hand and a PKR shopping estimate, use Recipe Shopping List Planner. Enter all quantities for each row in one consistent unit there.
The batch planner also does not calculate cooking water or the yield of rice and protein. Rice Portion Calculator has separate dry rice, water and yield assumptions for a rice quantity worksheet.
Save the per person numbers with the final list and record which protein purchase basis you used. These editable example portions should be replaced by your own recipe before the plan becomes an actual shopping order.
