A passport style photo has more requirements than a rectangle. The face, background, expression and receiving authority's instructions can matter as much as the file dimensions.
Pakistan Passport Photo Layout prepares a 35 by 45 millimetre layout at the selected DPI. It crops and resizes the image; it does not certify biometric compliance or guarantee acceptance.
Millimetres become rounded pixels
At 300 DPI, 35 millimetres becomes approximately 413 pixels and 45 millimetres becomes approximately 531. The output is therefore 413 by 531, with JPEG resolution information written for the selected DPI.
The tool uses a cover crop and the chosen anchor. That can remove content around the head if the source framing is too tight. It does not detect a face and reposition it automatically.
A layout called passport preparation is not a substitute for checking the current instructions of the Pakistani or overseas authority receiving the image. This guide does not claim that one size applies to every application.
Review the photograph itself
Check that the head is fully visible, the background is suitable and the source is clear. The tool does not replace an arbitrary background or assess head proportions, shadows, glasses or expression.
A small or blurred source remains limited after resizing. Enlarging it to the expected canvas does not add genuine facial detail.
If printing, use the embedded resolution as a reference and check the print application's physical scaling. Automatic fit to page can change the final millimetre size despite correct pixels.
Keep the original photo and the receiving authority's instructions together. Submit the prepared file only after reviewing both the image content and the actual dimension and byte limits of that application.
