A grid gives several pictures a consistent structure. Equal cells also impose a crop, which can remove important content from photos that were framed differently.
Image Grid Collage combines up to six images into square cells. Choose the column count, cell size, gap and background colour. The upload order determines the cell order.
Calculate the layout before filling it
Two columns with 400 pixel cells and 12 pixel gaps create an 836 pixel wide canvas. The width includes a gap on both outer sides as well as between the cells.
With two input images, the same settings give one row and a height of 424 pixels. More images create further rows; an incomplete final row leaves unused background space.
| Two image example | Pixels |
|---|---|
| Canvas width | 836 |
| Canvas height | 424 |
Each source fills its square cell with a centre crop. A wide photo loses horizontal content and a tall photo loses vertical content. The collage is not a whole image contact sheet.
Review every cell
A face or product near an edge may be removed even when another cell looks perfect. Prepare a more suitable source crop before rebuilding the grid if centre cropping is unsuitable.
The selected background appears in gaps and unused space. Transparent content is composited onto that background in the layout.
Large cells and many columns can exceed the generated canvas limits. Reduce cell size or column count when the result would be too wide or contain too many pixels.
The download is one composed image. It does not include editable layers or automatically add captions. Keep the individual source files if you expect to change their order, crop or spacing later.
