Split a Fee Balance into Exact Whole Rupee Payments

Updated

A fee balance divided into installments should add back to exactly the amount due. Rounding every payment independently can create a small overpayment or leave a rupee unpaid.

Fee Installment Split splits a whole PKR balance exactly. Where the division has a remainder, earlier installments receive one extra rupee until that remainder is used.

Separate amounts already paid from new upfront cash

Enter the full payable fee, the amount already paid and any additional upfront payment you plan to make before the remaining installments.

Already paid and additional upfront amounts are deducted once each. If the upfront payment is already included in the paid total, entering it again would deduct the same money twice.

The remaining installment count is the number of payments after that additional upfront amount. It is not the total number of payments including the upfront transfer.

A PKR 90,000 remaining balance

For a total fee of PKR 120,000, PKR 20,000 already paid and a further PKR 10,000 upfront, the remaining balance is PKR 90,000.

Dividing it into three installments gives PKR 30,000 each. For a smaller illustration, a PKR 10 balance split into three gives four, three and three rupees. The amounts add to exactly ten.

Inputs must be whole rupees. The tool rejects fractional rupee amounts and any paid plus upfront total that exceeds the full fee.

Due dates use fixed days, not months

Enter the first due date and the number of days between due dates. With a first date of 15 August 2026 and a 30 day interval, the next dates are 14 September and 14 October.

Those are not the fifteenth of each calendar month. If your agreed arrangement uses monthly calendar dates, copy its dates separately rather than treating a 30 day interval as the same rule.

Installment Example due date PKR
1 15 August 2026 30,000
2 14 September 2026 30,000
3 14 October 2026 30,000

The worksheet does not approve a payment plan

Check whether the institution permits installments, how many are allowed and which official due dates apply. The calculator does not create a payment agreement or waive late charges.

No interest, financing charge or penalty is included. Add or account for an official charge separately before splitting the amount if it belongs in the payable balance.

Keep payment receipts with the schedule. The plugin neither collects money nor records transfers, so a calculated row must not be mistaken for a payment confirmation.
