Solar Self Consumption and Export Savings Calculator
Solar Self Consumption and Export Savings Calculator
Value entered solar use and exports without assuming a current utility tariff.
Solar value depends on how much energy is used on site and whether exported energy has a payable value.
Enter your consumption and export assumptions with the applicable rates. Compare the components without treating the result as a complete utility bill.
How to use Solar Self Consumption and Export Savings Calculator
- Enter solar AC generation, site electricity consumption and share of solar used on site.
- Enter avoided marginal import value, export compensation assumption and period extra operating cost.
- Select Calculate result. Read the returned values alongside the assumptions below before copying, exporting or acting on the result.
Why choose this tool?
Self use and export stay separate, making the rate basis easier to review.
Before you use the result
No utility rates or net metering rules are assumed. Self use cannot exceed site load. Export value may not be available under your connection agreement. Fixed charges and slab taxes are not modelled as a bill.
Questions about Solar Self Consumption and Export Savings Calculator
Does it assume current net metering rules?
No. Enter only export value available under your own connection agreement. Fixed charges and slab taxes are not automatically modelled.
What should I check before using Solar Self Consumption and Export Savings Calculator?
Check Solar AC generation, Site electricity consumption, Share of solar used on site and Avoided marginal import value. Use the exact units shown beside the controls and replace any example values with your own inputs.
