Paint coverage comes from the product and the surface, not simply the size of the house.

List the walls or rooms being painted, include ceilings where needed and use the tin's coverage rate. Change coat counts separately from the measured area.

Why choose this tool?

Selected surfaces and product coverage make comparisons useful when you are choosing between different pack sizes or paint systems.

Before you use the result

Use coverage from your paint tin or product sheet. Primer is a separate product and is not included.

03 / COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about Paint Calculator

Is primer included?

No. Estimate primer with its own area, coverage and coat requirements. Do not assume the finishing paint quantity covers a separate primer product.

What should I check before using Paint Calculator?

Check Measurement unit, Include ceilings, Finish coats and Coverage per coat. Use the exact units shown beside the controls and replace any example values with your own inputs.
