Understand what happens to your data.
This policy explains information handled when you visit Whatson.pk, use its tools, send a message or interact with features and advertising where enabled.
Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to whatson.pk and its website features. Whatson is the website publisher. For a privacy question, write to hello@whatson.pk.
An external website, advertiser or service has its own privacy practices. Following a link from Whatson does not make that service part of our website. This policy describes Whatson; it does not replace another provider’s terms.
Information involved in a visit
Technical information
Hosting, security and delivery systems may handle IP addresses, request times, visited URLs, browser details and error information to serve and protect the website.
Tool entries
Calculators and data tools may send the values or text you enter to our server for processing. Use non sensitive examples whenever the task does not require personal information.
Contact messages
If you email us, we receive your address, the contents of the message and any attachments you choose to send.
Optional interactions
Where comments are enabled, WordPress can store the comment, submitted name and email, IP address and browser information. Approved comment content and the chosen public name can appear on the page.
We do not need your CNIC, payment card details, passwords or private account credentials to run the public tools. Do not place those details in a calculator, source data field, comment or message unless there is a separate, specific reason that has been explained to you.
Calculations, text and uploaded images
Our PHP based calculators and data tools can process submitted entries on the website server. The tool plugins are not designed to create a permanent user history of those submissions. Server, security or error logging is a separate part of hosting and may retain technical records.
Image preparation tools upload supported files to the server for processing. Our image tools handle files as temporary request uploads and return results in the response. They do not save those images in the WordPress Media Library or a public uploads gallery.
Temporary file cleanup is handled by the hosting environment. Your browser or email service can retain a file or a download independently. Do not interpret temporary processing as a guarantee that no trace can exist in backups, browser storage, monitoring or hosting systems.
Only upload images and data that you are permitted to use. Avoid confidential material or files containing personal details when a sample would do. Image metadata removal cannot remove identifying information that remains visible in the picture.
Why information is used
- To load pages and process the tool request you initiate.
- To identify errors, abusive requests and other security problems.
- To respond to enquiries and investigate reported issues.
- To moderate comments where that feature is available.
- To understand website use through analytics if such services are enabled.
- To display and measure advertising where it is enabled and permitted.
- To meet applicable legal obligations and handle a relevant dispute.
The contact draft helper prepares an email on your device. It does not submit a contact form to our server or record its draft fields in WordPress. A message reaches us only when you send it through your email provider.
Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser. WordPress and enabled services may use them for login sessions, comment preferences, security or other site functions. An optional analytics or advertising service may use cookies, local storage or similar identifiers for its own purpose.
A browser setting can block or delete cookies. Doing so may affect login, remembered choices or some other features. Removing a cookie does not necessarily remove information already handled by an external provider.
Where a consent interface is available, use it to review categories and change your choices. If you do not see a relevant control, contact us rather than assuming a preference has been recorded.
Google AdSense and advertising
Whatson may display advertising, including Google AdSense, where that service is enabled. Third party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to personalise ads using visits to participating sites. Advertising services may also process device identifiers, IP addresses, ad interactions and related technical information to deliver ads, measure performance and address fraud.
You can manage Google personalised advertising through My Ad Center. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy for its practices.
Other advertising vendors, if used, have their own notices and choices. Contact us to identify a vendor involved in an ad you have seen. A preference for non personalised advertising does not necessarily stop cookies or technical processing used for delivery, measurement and security.
Where consent is required, advertising and related storage must follow the applicable consent choices. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, relevant Google consent requirements apply when those advertising services are used. A policy page explains the practice; it is not itself a consent control.
Providers and other recipients
Information may be handled by hosting and security providers, email services and any analytics, advertising, spam prevention or external avatar service enabled on the website. They receive information relevant to the service they provide. We may also disclose information where necessary to respond to a lawful request, protect rights or deal with abuse.
We do not offer tool submissions or uploaded images for sale as customer datasets. Advertising vendors may separately collect information when their code runs; their own policies and any applicable consent choices govern that processing.
Providers can process information in locations outside Pakistan. Applicable protections and rights depend on the service, processing and laws involved. This policy does not promise that every provider stores all data in one country.
How long information is kept
There is no single retention period for every interaction. An email may be needed until its issue is resolved; a security record may be rotated under the host’s settings; a published comment may remain until moderated or removed. Backups can outlast the active copy until their normal cycle expires.
We aim to keep information only while it has an operational, security, record keeping or legal purpose. If you ask about a particular message or comment, identify it so we can consider the relevant information instead of giving an inaccurate blanket deletion promise.
Your privacy choices and requests
- Use browser settings to manage cookies and downloaded files.
- Use available website consent controls to change the choices they cover.
- Use Google’s advertising controls for eligible personalised ad settings.
- Avoid entering sensitive information into public tools or comments.
- Email hello@whatson.pk to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have provided.
Your rights depend on applicable law and the information involved. We may ask for reasonable details to verify a request. We cannot delete an independent provider’s records or remove information that must be retained for a legitimate legal purpose. Do not attach identity documents to an initial enquiry.
Children and shared devices
Whatson is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. Students can use general calculators without providing their identity. Parents or guardians should guide younger users and contact us if they believe a child has submitted personal information.
On a shared device, remove downloaded files and avoid leaving a draft, personal dataset or result visible to the next user. This is especially relevant for school, workplace and public computers.
Security and policy changes
No website, email service or storage system can promise complete security. Use the HTTPS version of Whatson, avoid sending credentials and tell us about a suspected exposure without posting the affected information publicly.
We may revise this policy as tools, services or practices change. The updated date at the top identifies this version. A new service or materially different use of information should be reflected here when introduced.
