Place a Text Watermark Where It Remains Readable

Updated

A watermark should be visible enough to serve its purpose without hiding the subject. Its position, size and opacity matter together, particularly when the image has both light and dark areas.

Text Watermark draws your text with a bundled Unicode font. Choose a size in pixels, a colour, opacity and one of the offered placements.

Fit the text inside the actual source

A short label such as whatson.pk is easier to fit than a long ownership statement. If the text exceeds the available image area at the chosen font size, the tool rejects it rather than silently drawing a clipped label.

A 24 pixel font appears differently on a 400 pixel source and a 2000 pixel source. The setting is not a percentage of image width, so review it for each size in a mixed batch.

Bottom right placement can be convenient, but a pale label there may disappear over a bright background. Try another colour or location before simply making the text larger.

Unicode support has a layout limit

The font can contain glyphs from several scripts, but the tool does not provide complex Urdu shaping or bidirectional text layout. A Unicode string being accepted is not a promise of correctly joined Urdu lettering.

For an Urdu brand mark that needs exact typography, prepare a suitable logo image and use the logo overlay tool instead of relying on unshaped text here.

Opacity blends the text with the image. A low value can be subtle and also become difficult to notice when the picture is reduced for a thumbnail.

The watermark is drawn into the pixels. It is not an interactive text layer that another application can edit separately, and it does not prevent copying or cropping. Keep an unmarked original alongside the prepared download.
