Category: Image Preparation

An upload form may need exact pixel dimensions while the picture still needs to look proportionate.

Choose a width and height deliberately, or lock the original ratio. Review the final dimensions before using the image.

## Inputs and controls

* One image or a batch: JPEG; PNG; WebP. Static images. Up to 4 MiB per file, 12 MiB total and 4 million pixels per image. At most six source images.
* Output width (pixels). Allowed range: 1 to 4096
* Output height (pixels). Allowed range: 1 to 4096
* Aspect ratio: Lock ratio using width; Use both dimensions
* Download format: PNG, preserves alpha; JPEG, flattens alpha; WebP, server support needed
* Quality. Allowed range: 1 to 100

## How to use

* Choose a static JPEG, PNG or WebP source. Check the displayed upload limits before processing.

* Set Output width (pixels), Output height (pixels), Aspect ratio, Download format and Quality. Review the selected units and options before preparing the output.

* Select Prepare image. Inspect the resulting preview, dimensions and file size, then download the output you need.

## Why use this tool

The ratio option separates proportional resizing from an intentional change to both dimensions.

## Before relying on the result

Compare the finished picture with its source. Output format, quality and image detail affect bytes separately from pixel dimensions.

## Questions

### Will resizing guarantee a smaller byte size?

No. Output format, quality and image detail affect bytes separately from pixel dimensions.

### What should I check before using Image Resizer?

Prepare a supported source image and check Output width (pixels), Output height (pixels), Aspect ratio and Download format. Use the exact units shown beside the controls and replace any example values with your own inputs.
