Questions

Why can a decoded result appear as hex?

Invalid UTF8 or control bytes are not safely readable text. Hex preserves a view of those bytes.

What should I check before using Base64 Encoder & Decoder?

Check Mode, Alphabet and Text or encoded data. Use the exact units shown beside the controls and replace any example values with your own inputs.
