LAHORE: On the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Safe City has launched a special counselling service for people struggling with mental stress.
The service is available through Punjab Emergency Helpline 15. Callers need to dial 15 and press 7 to get connected.
Officials said people feeling stressed, hopeless, or having suicidal thoughts can immediately speak with trained psychologists. Counselling is provided through conference calls so help reaches out without delay.
A Safe City spokesperson said timely counselling is playing a key role in saving lives.
During 2025, the helpline received 2,327 calls related to mental health concerns. Out of these, 2,269 callers were given immediate support, helping prevent possible suicides.
Authorities said the counselling service has shown a success rate of 98 percent. Data shows 56 percent of calls came from men, while 44 percent were from women.
Officials urged people not to hesitate in seeking help and to use the service whenever needed.
