Haleon Pakistan has approved a £3.58 million plan to improve the packaging line for Panadol Liquid. The move comes as demand for over-the-counter health products keeps rising in Pakistan.
According to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company said the money will be used to buy new packaging machines and improve the current setup. It also wants to tighten quality checks so the product stays consistent.
The board cleared the investment as part of the company’s longer-term growth plan. Haleon Pakistan said the upgrade will help it keep up with demand and cut down delays in production.
The company is part of global healthcare firm Haleon plc, which was created after GSK separated its consumer healthcare business. Haleon owns brands like Panadol, Centrum, and Sensodyne, all of which are popular in Pakistan.
There is no timeline yet for when the upgrade will finish. But once it is done, Haleon Pakistan expects to produce more Panadol Liquid to meet growing demand.
