LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League 2026 player auction will be held on February 11, officials confirmed on Monday.
For the first time in PSL history, all player bids will be conducted in Pakistani rupees instead of US dollars. The move is being seen as a major shift in the league’s financial structure.
According to sources, the base price for players in the top category has been fixed at Rs 42 million. Other categories will have base prices of Rs 22 million, Rs 11 million, and Rs 6 million.
Each franchise will be allowed to pick a squad of 16 to 20 players. It has also been made mandatory for every team to include at least two uncapped under 23 players, aimed at promoting young local talent.
Sources further revealed that players selected for HBL PSL 11 will receive contracts valid for two years.
The upcoming auction is expected to draw strong interest as teams prepare for another competitive season of Pakistan’s biggest cricket league.
